Overview
Replyly AI helps users rewrite, improve, and analyze messages using on-device intelligence and cloud-based AI services.
We aim to minimize data collection and give users control over how their text is processed.
Information You Provide
When using Replyly AI, you may provide:
- draft messages
- selected text
- tone preferences
- relationship profiles
- usage preferences
- feedback or support requests
This information is used only to provide Replyly AI features and improve app reliability.
Private Mode
Private Mode uses on-device processing where supported by your device and operating system.
Text processed in Private Mode is not sent to Replyly AI servers for AI generation.
Some local settings, preferences, and usage metadata may still be stored on your device.
Smart Mode
Smart Mode uses cloud-based AI services to generate rewrites and responses.
When Smart Mode is enabled, the following information may be securely transmitted:
- selected text or draft message
- tone/style selections
- optional relationship profile context
- optional reply instructions
- language and generation settings
This data may pass through secure infrastructure providers, including Cloudflare, and may be processed by third-party AI providers used by Replyly AI.
We use this information solely to:
- generate requested responses
- prevent abuse
- maintain service reliability
- enforce usage limits
We do not sell your personal data.
Optional Usage Sharing in Version 2.0
Usage sharing is off by default. If you enable it in Settings and the collection service is available, Replyly sends recent and future feature-use events, such as generation success, copying or replacing output, return visits, paywall views, plan selection, and purchase outcomes. Events may include the selected action, tone, relationship category, processing mode, refinement, and subscription product.
These events never include message text, generated replies, profile names, clipboard contents, purchase receipts, or purchase transaction identifiers. A pseudonymous installation identifier connects usage across visits. Our Cloudflare infrastructure stores these events for up to 90 days to help us improve the product. Turning sharing off stops future uploads; previously uploaded events expire under this retention policy. Local diagnostics remain on your device unless you enable usage sharing or explicitly export them.
To enforce daily Smart Mode limits, our backend uses a hashed installation identifier, the subscription tier reported by the app, and daily request counts. These usage records contain no message content. Requests count toward the daily allowance, including unsuccessful attempts.
Data Retention
Most Replyly AI history, preferences, and saved content remain stored locally on your device.
Limited backend logs or request metadata may be temporarily retained for:
- abuse prevention
- debugging
- reliability monitoring
- legal compliance
Retention periods may vary depending on operational or legal requirements.
Keyboard Extension
Replyly Keyboard operates within Apple's keyboard extension framework.
The keyboard may access:
- text you manually enter
- selected text
- nearby text context provided by iOS
You control keyboard permissions, including "Allow Full Access," through iOS Settings.
Purchases and Subscriptions
Subscriptions and payments are processed by Apple through the App Store.
Replyly AI does not receive your full payment information.
Children's Privacy
Replyly AI is not intended for children under 13.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect information transmitted through the app. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.
Users should avoid submitting highly sensitive personal, financial, medical, or confidential information through Smart Mode.
Your Choices
You can:
- use Private Mode where supported
- disable Smart Mode
- delete local app data by removing the app
- manage keyboard permissions in iOS Settings
