Good questions.
Quick answers.
Is FaceOff available on the App Store?
Not yet. FaceOff is in development. The screenshots on this website show the current app, and no public release date has been announced.
Do we both need a phone or an account?
No. FaceOff is designed for two people sharing one device. No account or internet connection is needed for gameplay. App downloads, purchases, and restoring Pro access require Apple services and may need internet access.
What makes FaceOff different on iPhone Duo?
FaceOff adapts game layouts to Duo’s pose and orientation. In supported locked rounds, opening Duo reveals the result. Secret turns use private handoffs and covers; the inner display is one continuous screen, not two independently private screens. Keep your turn out of your opponent’s view.
Can I play on another iPhone?
Yes. The current app supports iOS 18 or later, with a “Reveal together” button and private handoffs on other supported iPhones. Native Duo interactions require supported hardware and iOS 27.1 or later. Final App Store compatibility will be confirmed at launch.
What is free, and what does Pro add?
Bluff Duel, Draw & Guess, Reaction Duel, 12 starter words, three-game tournaments, and the signature reveal are free. Pro adds Battle Grid, Card Clash, Quick Facts, Would You Rather, a 24-word bank, categories, custom settings, extra themes, and seven-game tournaments. Pro is a one-time purchase, with no subscription. Launch pricing will appear in the app.
How do I restore FaceOff Pro?
When purchases are available, open Settings → Restore purchases while signed in to the Apple Account that made the purchase. Check your connection and retry if the store is unavailable. If Pro remains locked, email us with the app version and any error message. Do not send passwords or payment-card details.
The store says Pro is unavailable. Can I still play?
Yes. The three free games remain available. Store availability depends on the App Store product and your connection. FaceOff is still in development, so live purchases are not yet announced.
A private turn is covered. What should I do?
Changing pose, resizing the display, opening early, or leaving the app can cover an unfinished private turn. Return the device to the correct player and follow the on-screen prompt to continue. A reveal requires a locked round; use “Reveal together” when ready.
Will my game resume after I close the app?
In-progress games stay in memory and are not saved for recovery after the app closes. Completed match and tournament results are saved locally. Backgrounding can cover a private turn so the active player can reconfirm when returning, as long as the app remains running.
How can I clear scores and history?
Open Settings → Reset match history and confirm Reset history. This clears match and tournament history and player wins. Names, avatars, preferences, word recency, and purchases are kept. To remove all local app data, delete the app rather than offloading it; manage any backups separately.
Where can I request a refund?
Apple handles App Store refunds. Visit Apple’s Report a Problem service to view the options available for your purchase. You can contact Rullit for help with the app itself.
