Privacy Policy

Your discoveries belong to you. Here’s what stays on your device, what you can share, and how to stay in control.

At a glance

FoldLab is a puzzle game made by Rullit. The current development version has no accounts, advertisements, tracking, analytics SDKs, or developer-operated gameplay servers. Gameplay and preferences stay on your device. This policy describes the current app and our support contact; website visits are addressed separately below.

Progress stored on your device

The app saves puzzle completions, completion dates, best times, move and hint counts, unfinished puzzle states and discoveries, daily results and streak information, secrets, achievements and available unlock dates, the last puzzle played, and learned-control guidance. It also stores introduction and review-prompt status, plus preferences such as music, sound, haptics, motion, sensitivity, and reduced visual effects. These records let you continue playing and track your discoveries.

Motion and hinge input

Device motion and, on supported devices, hinge information are processed locally to control puzzles and adapt the experience. FoldLab does not transmit this input to Rullit. You can change Motion controls in the app’s Settings or use touch alternatives. System Reduce Motion disables sensor input and ambient animation. The game does not request camera, microphone, contacts, or location access.

Purchases through Apple

Apple handles Full Game purchases and restoration. FoldLab checks verified StoreKit transaction information to determine access to paid content; Rullit does not receive your payment-card details. These operations may require an internet connection. Apple handles purchase and account information under Apple’s privacy policy.

Sharing is optional

When you choose to share a discovery, the app creates a card containing the puzzle title, world or daily-puzzle date, completion time, and whether hints were used. Achievement cards contain the earned badge and title, without player information or unlock dates. Sharing occurs through the destination you select in the system share sheet. The receiving app or service handles that information under its own policies.

Retention, backups, and deletion

Progress remains locally until you reset it or remove the app’s data. Settings → Reset gameplay progress clears puzzle progress, daily results, secrets, and achievements while retaining preferences and your purchase entitlement. Deleting the app rather than offloading it removes its local data from that device. FoldLab does not provide its own cloud sync; device or iCloud backups may contain app files according to your Apple settings. Manage backups and previously shared copies separately. Resetting progress does not erase Apple purchase records.
