Privacy Policy

How the game handles your progress, purchases, and information you choose to send us.

About this policy

The Last Sounding is a puzzle adventure made by Rullit. This policy describes the current development version for iPhone and iPad, support correspondence, and this website. The game does not require a Rullit account. Its gameplay code stores progress locally and does not upload your saves to a Rullit gameplay server.

There are no advertisements or third-party advertising SDKs in the current version. Rullit does not sell your personal information or use gameplay data for targeted advertising. Unity engine behavior is addressed separately below.

Progress and settings on your device

The game stores your current chapter and location, puzzle states and completions, inventory, collected evidence, journal and story progress, hints used, choices, and replay progress. Saves include a locally generated profile identifier, timestamps, and recovery copies or checkpoints. These let you continue your game and recover an available local save after an interruption.

Preferences such as text size, contrast, reduced motion, audio levels, mono audio, haptics, visual quality, dialogue advance, and highlight assistance are also saved on your device. The profile identifier identifies a local save slot; it is not a Rullit account.

Sound puzzles and device permissions

The game plays bundled sound and voice recordings and accepts touch input. Listening, tuning, and replaying an echo are game mechanics: they do not record you or your surroundings. The current gameplay does not request microphone, camera, contacts, or location access. Story transcripts and visual clues support play without sound.

Unity and technical information

The Last Sounding is built with the Unity game engine. Unity Ads, Unity Analytics, and Unity cloud diagnostics services are disabled in the current project, and no separate Unity Analytics or advertising package is installed.

Verification of engine-level data transmission in the final release build is still pending. We therefore do not claim that the Unity runtime sends no technical information. Unity’s Game Player and App User Privacy Policy describes its handling of device, IP address, and log information when its services are used, together with available privacy choices. That policy covers many Unity services; linking to it does not mean this game uses all of them. We will update this notice if release verification identifies additional collection.

Apple may process device or app diagnostics according to your system privacy settings and its own policies. If you send us a diagnostic report or screenshot for support, we receive only what you choose to include.

Purchases through Apple

The optional Full Game unlock uses Apple’s StoreKit purchase system. The app checks verified transaction entitlements to decide whether paid chapters are available. Apple processes payment, purchase restoration, and relevant account information; Rullit does not receive your payment-card details. Purchasing or restoring requires an internet connection. See Apple’s privacy policy.

Retention, backups, and deletion

Local saves and settings remain until the app’s data is removed. Starting a new game keeps the existing chapter save as a separate slot; it is not a delete-all control. To remove the app’s local data from a device, delete the app rather than offloading it. This also removes local progress, so consider your backups first.

The game has no Rullit cloud-save service. Device or iCloud backups may contain app data depending on your Apple settings; manage those backups separately. Removing the app does not erase Apple’s purchase records. Rullit cannot retrieve progress stored only on your device.

Email support and website visits

If you email support@rullit.com, Rullit and its email providers receive your address, message, and attachments. We use these to respond, troubleshoot, and maintain support records for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes or legal obligations. Do not include passwords or payment-card details.

This website uses Cloudflare Pages. Hosting and security services may process IP addresses, browser information, and requested pages to serve and protect the site. See the Rullit website privacy policy. The game pages do not add advertising trackers or analytics scripts.

Your choices and questions

You can manage local data and backups as described above. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of personal information you send us. Contact support@rullit.com with a privacy request. For information handled independently by Apple or Unity, their linked policies explain how to contact them.

Rullit does not knowingly collect children’s personal information through gameplay. A parent or guardian can contact us about information a child has sent to support.

Policy updates

We will post revisions here with an updated effective date and provide additional notice or consent where required. This development policy will be reviewed against the release build before launch.
