Common questions
How do I inspect objects and use the controls?
Play in landscape. Tap an object or use Objects to inspect it, then use Back to return. For wheels, select a wheel and drag vertically, or use Previous / Next. Use the latch or PLAY to confirm where prompted. For cables, select a numbered source and then a named destination.
I’m stuck on a puzzle. Where should I look?
Revisit your journal for clues and story transcripts, inspect nearby objects, and use the puzzle’s three optional hints. In an echo puzzle, previewing a movement alone does not permanently change the mechanism: look for a way to pin the echo and make a physical repair before releasing it.
Do I need headphones or sound to play?
No. Sound adds atmosphere, but visual clues and story transcripts support puzzle solving without audio. Settings include audio levels, Mono mix, Reduced effects / quiet mode, reduced motion, high contrast, text size, and highlight assistance.
Can I play without an internet connection?
Gameplay assets and saves are local. Once the Full Game purchase has been verified on the device, unlocked chapters support offline play. Downloads, purchases, and restoration need a connection. Final airplane-mode testing is still pending during development; this is not a promise of zero network traffic.
What does Full Game include?
Chapter 1, its hints, saves, and accessibility settings are free. One optional, non-consumable purchase unlocks Chapters 2–8, both endings, and chapter replay. There is no subscription. The app is still in development; the current price will be displayed by Apple when available.
How do I restore a purchase?
Open the Full Game screen and choose Restore Purchases while connected to the internet and using the Apple Account that bought the unlock. If the store is unavailable, try Retry App Store. Restoration restores purchased access, not local save files. For refunds, use Apple’s Report a Problem.
What should I do if a save fails?
Check that your device has free storage, then retry. The game keeps local recovery copies and may offer recovery when a save is damaged. Contact us before deleting the app if progress is missing. Starting a new game retains the existing chapter save as a separate slot; deleting the app can remove your progress.
Does the game record my microphone?
No. Listening and echo playback use sounds already included with the game. These mechanics do not record your voice or your surroundings. Read the Privacy Policy for local saves, Unity, and purchase information.
